Our team is hard at work on our release
Here is a sneak peek at what we are working on:
2015 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Initial Notes: Boasting a rich dark red color, this wine has an intense bouquet of dry dark fruit, soil/earthiness, and darkened vanilla. On the palate the wine shows nicely balanced dark fruits, rich flavors with a medium-plus finish. Coming from prestigious Napa Valley, this wine benefits from one of the richest soils and climates California has to offer.
2016 Paso Robles Petit Verdot
Initial Notes: A less prominent varietal, this wine holds a dark garnet-purple color. It carries nice ripe fruit, big black plums, blackberry, subtle oak, hint of spice on the nose and has good fruit, subtle medium-plus finish, culminating in a nice mouthfeel on the palate. It was one of the top full-bodied and well-balanced red wines we have had the pleasure of tasting this year.
2016 Napa Chardonnay
Initial Notes: A pale yellow color and a classic Napa-style chardonnay are great identifiers for this wine. On the nose, this wine denotes sweet pear, bits of apricot, and comes across clean. On the palate, this chardonnay is crisp, with a good mouthfeel, fruit in body, balanced oak (not over oaked), and an impressive rounded finish. This wine, to our surprise, could be our favorite wine released this year.
2015 Lake County Cabernet Franc
Initial Notes: This Cab Franc is dark purple in color. The bouquet boasts rich black fruits, touch of bacon (yes we said bacon), toast/char, and bits of cacao. From a taste profile, this wine has a medium-plus body, and is well-balanced with all flavor components: oak, fruit, earth, and structure. We have taken notice as Lake County is proving to be an up and coming AVA in California.
2015 North Coast Zinfandel
Initial Notes: This dark purple north coast wine surprised us. Not your typical California zinfandel. On the nose the wine has bready aroma, hint of spice, is quite jammy and full. On the palate is where we find this zinfandel to be different. It has components of baked fruits, the mid-palate holds fruit, it is bright, the mouthfeel has good texture, and is exceedingly smooth for a zinfandel.
We are awaiting the final quality checks to evaluate which wines will be bottled and our Singapore management team will determine which wines will be released in respective markets. Stay tuned.
